We’re looking for a motivated and organised Operator Recruiter to join a well-established company at the forefront of the UK’s plant hire industry. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in sourcing, screening, and onboarding skilled operators—ensuring projects across the country run smoothly and efficiently. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy building strong working relationships, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 6:00pm
- 1 in 4 Saturdays – 7:30am to 12:00pm
The Candidate:
- Previous resourcing experience within the transport or plant hire industry
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of individuals
- Organised and proactive with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
- Solution-focused mindset with the ability to think ahead and solve problems quickly
Responsibilities:
- Source and supply self-drive plant operators to meet daily requirements
- Register and onboard new operators, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete
- Conduct background checks, verify references, and check all operator cards and qualifications
- Support day-to-day operational planning by ensuring all roles are covered
- Coordinate operator availability and help plan resources for the following day
- Respond to operator and client queries promptly and professionally
- Build strong relationships with new and existing operators, maintaining regular contact
