Location: Oldham

Shift Pattern: 2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 2 off / 2 on / 3 off

Hours: 7:00am – 7:00pm / 7:00pm – 7:00am (rotating days and nights)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preventative maintenance, repair, and modification of plant and equipment
  • Daily routine tasks supporting high purity water supply to manufacturing
  • Monitoring and maintaining Gas Detection and Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Maintaining process cooling, compressed air, vacuum, bulk gas, effluent, heating, and electrical systems
  • Responding effectively to plant malfunctions, alarms, and breakdowns
Essential Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3, ONC, or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
  • Proven experience in a Facilities Maintenance role
  • Mechanical bias with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of H&V plant and high purity water systems
  • Understanding of safe systems of work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and basic computer literacy
Desirable:
  • NVQ Level 2 in a second discipline or willingness to work towards
  • IPAF, FLT, or PASMA licence
  • Experience in manufacturing, clean room, HVAC, water, chemical, or chilling plant environments
  • Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC controls, and 3-phase systems
