Location: Oldham
Shift Pattern: 2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 2 off / 2 on / 3 off
Hours: 7:00am β 7:00pm / 7:00pm β 7:00am (rotating days and nights)
Key Responsibilities:- Preventative maintenance, repair, and modification of plant and equipment
- Daily routine tasks supporting high purity water supply to manufacturing
- Monitoring and maintaining Gas Detection and Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Maintaining process cooling, compressed air, vacuum, bulk gas, effluent, heating, and electrical systems
- Responding effectively to plant malfunctions, alarms, and breakdowns
- NVQ Level 3, ONC, or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
- Proven experience in a Facilities Maintenance role
- Mechanical bias with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of H&V plant and high purity water systems
- Understanding of safe systems of work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and basic computer literacy
- NVQ Level 2 in a second discipline or willingness to work towards
- IPAF, FLT, or PASMA licence
- Experience in manufacturing, clean room, HVAC, water, chemical, or chilling plant environments
- Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC controls, and 3-phase systems
