Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Finisher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, polishing, and finishing metal components to meet quality and aesthetic standards. You will play a key role in ensuring products are free from defects and ready for final use or delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Grind, sand, polish, and buff metal surfaces to achieve required finishes
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from metal parts
- Operate finishing tools and equipment such as grinders, polishers, and sanders
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality and specification standards
- Apply coatings or treatments where required (e.g., painting, plating preparation)
- Follow technical drawings, job sheets, and work instructions
- Maintain tools and equipment, reporting any faults or maintenance needs
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations
- Keep work area clean, organised, and free from hazards
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience in metal finishing, fabrication, or a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in metal finishing
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or instructions
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Aware of health and safety practices in a workshop environment
