Hours: Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm, Fri 7am-12pm

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Finisher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, polishing, and finishing metal components to meet quality and aesthetic standards. You will play a key role in ensuring products are free from defects and ready for final use or delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grind, sand, polish, and buff metal surfaces to achieve required finishes
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from metal parts
  • Operate finishing tools and equipment such as grinders, polishers, and sanders
  • Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality and specification standards
  • Apply coatings or treatments where required (e.g., painting, plating preparation)
  • Follow technical drawings, job sheets, and work instructions
  • Maintain tools and equipment, reporting any faults or maintenance needs
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations
  • Keep work area clean, organised, and free from hazards

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in metal finishing, fabrication, or a similar role preferred
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in metal finishing
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or instructions
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Aware of health and safety practices in a workshop environment
