A leading logistics provider is seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Planner to join their UK & Ireland operations team, based in Hull. This role is central to ensuring seamless logistics and transport operations, managing customer orders from start to finish while maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and third-party carriers. The ideal candidate will bring a keen eye for detail, excellent planning skills, and a strong customer service mindset.
The Candidate:
- Transport route planning experience within a fast paced transport haulage operation
- Solid background in transport planning, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Financial awareness relating to cost control, invoicing, and supplier management
- Working knowledge of customs legislation and compliance standards
- A proactive team player with strong attention to detail and a drive for quality
Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage transport operations to meet customer expectations and service levels
- Process and monitor orders using logistics systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
