£40,000 – £50,000 (flexible depending on experience)
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
A market-leading manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join its team in Ellesmere Port. This is a key role, responsible for driving a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility across the site. Working closely with the General Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance, improving efficiency, and embedding sustainable practices throughout manufacturing operations.
The Candidate;
NEBOSH General Certificate with practical experience in improving safety within a manufacturing environment.
A background or experience within heavy industry, quarries or similar with a solid understanding of machinery is highly desirable
A Health & Safety background within a manufacturing environment
Proven track record of building and embedding a positive “safety culture” in an industrial setting.
Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
Familiarity with audit processes and safety management systems.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with regulatory bodies, management, and teams across the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
Promote and develop a strong safety culture across the Ellesmere Port site.
Establish, maintain, and continuously improve health and safety practices in all manufacturing units.
Deliver regular training sessions to employees, ensuring safe working practices are embedded at every level.
Develop and implement safety protocols, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Lead incident investigations and identify preventive measures to reduce risk.
Support environmental compliance and contribute to sustainability and ESG initiatives.
