Location: Kirkby, Merseyside

Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 per annum (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 5:00pm, plus Saturdays 7:00am - 12:00pm (subject to business requirements)

Holiday: 28 days including Bank Holidays

Pension: Company Pension Scheme

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Group Workshop Manager to provide strategic leadership across multiple workshop operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving engineering excellence, ensuring fleet compliance, and establishing consistent maintenance standards across the business. Working closely with Directors and senior management, you will oversee workshop performance, develop engineering teams, and ensure maintenance operations are compliant, efficient, and capable of supporting continued business growth. This role focuses on leadership, planning and continuous improvement rather than day-to-day workshop supervision, making it ideal for an experienced fleet engineering professional looking to influence operational performance across a multi-site organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across all workshop operations.
  • Establish and maintain consistent engineering and maintenance standards.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for technical, operational and compliance matters.
  • Support the continued development of engineering teams.
