Graduate Chemist – Product Development & Analytical Testing Ellesmere Port Ingredients & Beverage Innovation Industry Full-Time | Permanent ASPLIV Are you a recent Chemistry graduate with a passion for product development, analytical science, and hands-on lab work? We\’re recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, forward-thinking company in the ingredients and beverage innovation space. They are looking for a motivated and curious individual to join their Product Development team, working closely with experienced professionals to support both R&D and quality testing projects. Company pension 20 days holiday + bank holidays On-site parking Supportive training and development from day one Access to modern laboratory facilities What You\’ll Be Doing: Carrying out lab testing on raw materials and formulations to assess quality and performance Supporting product development projects (NPD/EPD) from concept to launch Using analytical chemistry techniques such as GC, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry methods Helping to develop and maintain testing methods Learning to calibrate, validate, and maintain analytical instruments Ensuring lab documentation and data recording are accurate and compliant Following Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and supporting lab hygiene, safety, and COSHH compliance Working cross-functionally with QA, Production, and external clients Getting involved in exciting R&D initiatives to drive innovation Who We’re Looking For: A degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related technical subject A hands-on, practical mindset with a strong interest in lab-based work A desire to learn and grow within a commercial lab setting An analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy Confident communicator who can work well both independently and in a team Familiarity with basic lab safety, documentation, and good working practices Any prior lab or analytical experience (e.g. from a placement or internship) is welcome, but not essential To apply, please send a copy of your CV and a covering letter to (url removed) or, alternatively, submit your application via the link below.
