Salary: £52,500 per annum

Hours: 4 on 4 off – 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am (rotating shifts)

We’re looking for a talented Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join a leading manufacturing business in Gateshead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out engineering tasks in line with PPM schedules and targets
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and prioritise repair work effectively
  • Monitor machine performance and support improvements in efficiency
  • Work closely with planning teams to coordinate machine availability
  • Provide technical support to production teams as required
  • Support external contractors on site when needed
  • Ensure all documentation and sign-offs are completed accurately
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety at all times

About You:

  • Time-served engineer with relevant qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills with mechanical knowledge
  • Able to safely isolate, access, and work within control panels
  • Experienced in fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environments
  • Able to fully strip, reassemble, and adjust production machinery
  • PC literate and comfortable using maintenance systems
  • Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented with a hands-on approach
