We are seeking a skilled Fabricator / Panel Assembler to join our production team. This hands-on role involves the fabrication, assembly, and installation of copper busbars and wiring for electrical switchgear systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet design specifications and operational excellence.
Duties
- Prepare, cut, shape, and assemble copper busbars to precise tolerances using tools such as bending machines, saws, and drills.
- Install and terminate electrical wiring in accordance with technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and customer specifications.
- Assemble mechanical components of switchgear units, including brackets, panels, and enclosures.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all connections, fittings, and components meet required standards.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to address technical challenges and suggest improvements.
- Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Wireman or in a similar electrical role – Desired
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work are advantageous but not mandatory.
