We are looking for a skilled and reliable Aluminium TIG Welder / Fabricator to join our growing manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating components used in roofing and cladding systems, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy. This role requires experience working with aluminium and mild steel, along with the ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings to produce parts and assemblies to specification.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • Overtime regularly available
  • Overtime Rates: Time and one third after 40 hours, Double time on Sundays (hours depending)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on aluminium components to a high standard
  • Fabricate parts and assemblies based on engineering / fabrication drawings
  • Work with aluminium and mild steel materials
  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using fabrication equipment
  • Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
  • Carry out basic inspections of welded components
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Work effectively as part of the production team to meet deadlines

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a TIG welder, particularly with aluminium
  • Experience working with mild steel
  • Ability to read and understand fabrication / engineering drawings
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Previous experience in roofing, cladding, or sheet metal manufacturing
  • Fabrication and assembly experience
  • Welding qualifications or certifications
