This is an excellent opportunity for a transport professional with strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for delivering high levels of service within a fast-paced distribution environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the transportation of goods, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards.

Strong understanding of the, EU Tachograph Regulations, Working Time Regulations and Road Transport Legislation.
Working knowledge of transport management systems and operational planning tools.
Commercial awareness with the ability to identify efficiencies and improve profitability.
Sound geographical knowledge and route-planning understanding.
Ability to analyse operational data and solve complex logistics challenges.
Maximise the utilisation of transport management systems and fleet resources to ensure the effective allocation of drivers, vehicles, loads and trailers.
Lead, motivate and develop the transport team to drive productivity, engagement and exceptional customer service.
Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and development activities to ensure the department has the right people in the right roles.
Establish and promote effective communication channels with customers and internal departments to enhance performance and profitability.
Manage driver hours and timesheet approvals, ensuring full compliance with Working Time Regulations and transport legislation.
Lead the implementation of safe working practices, housekeeping standards and audit requirements, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
Support the delivery of operational objectives while maintaining high standards of service and cost control.
