Warehouse Supervisor Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Location: Essex Job Type: Full time, permanent Industry: Metal Salary: £26,000 + Annual performance related bonus Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join their team. This role involves overseeing a small team across two shifts, ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities and maintaining high standards of efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities: Supervising a team of up to 8 warehouse operatives/drivers. Loading and unloading wagons, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods. Conducting stock checks and accurately booking in materials. Planning routes for drivers using a tailored warehouse management system. Order picking and ensuring accurate order fulfilment. Liaising with the sales department to coordinate orders and deliveries. Addressing any issues that may arise promptly and effectively. Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Requirements: Previous supervisory experience within warehouse/logistics preferred. Strong work background in a general Warehouse Operative/team leader position will also be considered. Ability to handle physically demanding work and maintain high energy levels. Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. FLT Reach licence preferred. Band saw experience advantageous. Full UK driving licence essential. Computer literate with good communication skills. Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and manage a team effectively.
