Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Technical Field Salesperson to join a dynamic team. This is a fully remote role that involves making appointments, visiting existing customers, and reaching out to find new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for demonstrating technical products, understanding customer needs, and driving sales. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales skills, and relationship-building abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Establish New Business: Proactively seek out new customers and business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Customer Needs Analysis: Understand customers' diverse, specific business needs and apply product knowledge to meet those needs.
- Product Demonstrations: Present and explain technical products to clients and stakeholders, demonstrating how our solutions meet their requirements.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support and advice to customers.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, encouraging long-term partnerships.
- Account Management: Manage and grow business with 300 existing accounts in the area by presenting to them, offering samples, and providing application support.
- Technical Presentations: Prepare and deliver technical presentations at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
- After-Sales Support: Provide after-sales support services, including troubleshooting and resolving client issues.
- Market Research: Stay abreast of the latest industry developments and market trends to identify new opportunities.
- Reporting: Write reports and sales literature, and track sales performance.
- Training: Participate in and complete various training courses organized by the company to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Reporting Line: Report directly to the Sales Director.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in technical sales or as a sales engineer, ideally within the fasteners, ironmongery, or locks and hinges sector.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge and the ability to explain complex concepts simply. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Ability to drive and willingness to travel within the assigned territory to meet with clients and attend industry events.
