Senior Steel Sales Executive

Are you a driven Steel Sales Executive with a proven track record selling mild steel sheet?
Do you thrive on building strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and closing deals in a fast-paced industrial environment?

Our client, a long-standing and reputable steel stockholder and processor, is looking to appoint a Steel Sales Executive to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with modern facilities, solid supply lines, and a loyal customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow an existing customer base
- Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities
- Promote a full range of steel sheet products
- Prepare and issue competitive quotations, ensuring profitability and service quality
- Maintain strong relationships with buyers, production managers, and engineers
- Collaborate closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
- Use CRM systems to track pipeline activity and maintain customer data
- Stay up to date on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activity
Requirements:
- Proven sales experience in the steel industry
- Commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills
- Ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- UK driving licence and willingness to visit customer sites when required
- Competitive base salary (negotiable DOE)
