Aspion Search is working with a well-established, world-leading manufacturer in Carlisle to hire a skilled Press Brake Operator. This is a permanent role offering development, stability and a supportive, team-focused culture.

The Role of the Press Brake Operator
- Read and interpret shop orders and engineering drawings to complete jobs accurately
- Set up and operate press brakes to bend, form, shape or straighten plate and sheet metal
- Verify dimensions using precision tools (calipers, protractors, gauges) to meet spec
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance before/after shifts
- Adjust settings (speed, feed, backgauge/path) for safe, consistent, high-quality output
- Test and fine-tune machine operation using gauges and hand tools per product spec
- Inspect finished/assembled parts for conformance to quality standards
- Process and update shop orders within the ERP system
- Follow all H&S procedures and wear required PPE
- Report equipment issues or quality concerns promptly to supervisors
Requirements
- At least 2 year’s Press Brake operating experience
- Ideally able to use guillotine, bandsaw and laser cutting equipment
- FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
- Full UK driving licence
