An established manufacturer and distributor supplying products into the construction, commercial and residential sectors is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a busy warehouse and distribution operation. Following significant investment, operational change and continued business growth, this role has been created to drive warehouse performance, develop teams and implement improvements that will support the next phase of expansion. Operating from a modern distribution facility, the business manages a large product range and nationwide customer base. This is a key leadership role with genuine scope to influence processes, culture and operational performance.

The Warehouse Manager will take ownership of the day-to-day management of a fast-paced warehouse and distribution operation, leading Team Leaders, Warehouse Operatives and FLT Drivers. Reporting into senior management, the successful candidate will be responsible for improving efficiency, stock accuracy, service levels and team performance while creating a positive, accountable and high-performing warehouse environment. Success in this role will be measured through operational improvements, employee engagement and the delivery of key warehouse KPIs.

  • Lead the daily operation of a busy warehouse and distribution facility.
  • Manage, coach and develop Team Leaders, Warehouse Operatives and FLT Drivers.
  • Drive improvements in warehouse efficiency, productivity and service performance.
  • Oversee goods-in, storage, inventory control, picking, packing and dispatch activities.
  • Ensure high levels of stock accuracy and inventory integrity.
  • Monitor warehouse KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Improve warehouse processes, workflows and operational procedures.
  • Work closely with logistics, operations and customer service teams to optimise performance.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of warehouse personnel.
  • Maintain high standards of Health and Safety.
