I am working with a well-established machinery manufacturer based in Oldham. They are looking to add a skilled Welder/Fabricator to their shopfloor team, due to continued growth and a strong order book. The Welder/Fabricator must have MIG or TIG welding experience within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities of the Welder/Fabricator

  • Fabricate frames, supports, brackets, and assemblies
  • Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
  • Work from engineering drawings and technical instructions
  • Use fabrication machinery including saws, press brakes, drills, and grinders
  • Complete finishing work such as deburring and surface preparation
  • Support mechanical assembly and installation when required
  • Carry out quality checks on completed work
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements of the Welder/Fabricator

  • Time served Welder/Fabricator or equivalent experience
  • Strong MIG and/or TIG welding experience
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Experience using fabrication and workshop machinery
  • Good understanding of tolerances and quality standards
