I’m recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a well-established extrusion manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, electrically biased engineer to join a growing and technically advanced production environment, working on high-output extrusion and converting machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting continuous extrusion operations through both planned and reactive maintenance. This is a key role in ensuring maximum uptime across production lines, with a strong focus on electrical fault finding, mechanical reliability, and process efficiency. The role is electrically biased (60/40 split) and suits someone confident working in a fast-paced, 24/7 production-style environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across extrusion and converting machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns across production lines.
  • Fault-find on motors, drives, inverters, sensors, and pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain and repair vacuum conveying systems including vac pumps, hoppers, and load cells.
  • Support maintenance of blown film extrusion lines and downstream equipment.
  • Work on slitter rewinders, bagging machines, recycling systems, and film handling equipment.
  • Carry out strip down, inspection, repair, and rebuild of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with strict health and safety regulations.
