Our client, a well-established engineering and fabrication business, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing commercial team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in fabrication, welding, or engineering manufacturing who can confidently review technical drawings, prepare accurate quotations, and support projects from enquiry through to production handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer enquiries, drawings, and specifications
  • Produce accurate quotations for fabrication and engineering projects
  • Estimate material, labour, machining, finishing, and subcontract costs
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
  • Manage multiple quotations and prioritise urgent enquiries
  • Support project handover to production teams
  • Follow up quotations with customers where required

Requirements:

  • Experience within fabrication, welding, or engineering manufacturing
  • Ability to read fabrication and engineering drawings
  • Good understanding of fabrication and workshop processes
  • Commercially aware with a practical and proactive mindset
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Competent with Excel and general office software

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience within conveyors, material handling, architectural metalwork, or bespoke engineering manufacturing
  • Knowledge of laser cutting, folding, machining, or sheet metal processes
  • Experience with RADAN, Radquote, or WorkPLAN advantageous
  • CAD or estimating software experience beneficial

Package Details:

  • Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
