The Role of the Maintenance Engineer:
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for preventative maintenance and attending breakdowns across site equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
- Minimise unplanned downtime through effective fault-finding and timely repairs
- Identify root causes and implement long-term fixes to support continuous improvement
- Ensure safety, hygiene and quality standards are consistently upheld
- Work closely with operations teams and escalate unresolved issues where needed
About the Maintenance Engineer:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g. C&G, ONC).
- Over 2 year’s experience in a fast-paced, automated engineering/maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding ability (electrical and/or mechanical)
- Experience with PLCs, inverters, servo motors or pneumatics
- HACCP Level 2 or 3, IOSH or NEBOSH (desired)
- Fabrication and welding skills (desired)
- Experience in the food industry (desired)
