The opportunity
Aspion Search is recruiting a Blown Film Extrusion Operator to join an established manufacturing business in Liverpool.
This is a hands‑on opportunity for an experienced operator who enjoys working with machinery, solving production challenges, and producing quality film.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor blown film extrusion machinery.
- Adjust temperatures, line speeds and process settings to meet production specifications.
- Monitor bubble stability, film thickness, width and appearance.
- Prepare and load raw materials, following the correct blend specifications.
- Complete changeovers, start‑ups and shutdowns safely and efficiently.
- Carry out quality checks and troubleshoot defects to minimise waste and downtime.
- Monitor winding quality, change finished reels and ensure accurate labelling.
- Maintain production records and report machinery or maintenance issues.
- Keep the working area clean and follow health and safety procedures.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience operating blown film extrusion machinery.
- Knowledge of polyethylene materials, including LDPE, LLDPE or HDPE.
- Confidence adjusting machine settings and resolving process issues.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- A practical, reliable approach and the ability to work as part of a team.
