The Role

We are recruiting for a Senior HGV Technician to join an established excavation and haulage business based in Kirkby, Liverpool.
The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing a varied fleet of HGVs, primarily 8-wheel tippers and road sweepers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Complete vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance and MOT preparation.
- Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs when required.
- Maintain accurate service records and inspection reports.
- Provide technical support to other workshop technicians and apprentices.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Fitter.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
- Experience with vehicle inspections, servicing and repairs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- NVQ Level 3, experience with tippers/road sweepers and an HGV license would be advantageous.
