Location: Irlam, Manchester
Salary: 50K‑60K (depending on experience)
Hours: Full‑Time, Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial strategy for a key retail account, delivering against volume, profit and growth targets.
- Manage all day‑to‑day commercial activity including pricing, budgeting, forecasting, promotions and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, supply chain, operations, marketing, store managers and advisors.
- Oversee product training and support category management within the account.
- Use market, category and competitor insight to identify new opportunities and drive innovation.
- Ensure strong service levels, availability and accurate demand planning through cross‑functional collaboration.
- Mentor and support Business Account Executives or relevant commercial team members.
- Proactively explore opportunities to grow the customer base and broaden the portfolio.
About You:
- Strong FMCG Account Management or Commercial Leadership experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing‑led environment.
- Retail sales experience across grocery or convenience channels.
- Excellent negotiation and financial acumen, including P&L ownership.
- Strong Excel and numerical skills (SAP experience is a plus).
- Confident communicator, able to influence both internally and externally.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and spot opportunities.
- Degree in Business, Economics or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Full UK driving licence.
