Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer

  • Carrying out on site servicing, revalidation, and testing of engineered systems
  • Electrical fault finding and basic mechanical diagnostics
  • Airflow testing using calibrated equipment
  • Filter integrity testing and particle testing
  • Calibration of pressure and velocity instruments
  • Completing service reports and technical documentation
  • Maintaining test equipment and company van to required standards
  • Representing the business professionally on customer sites
  • Identifying and feeding back service, spares, or upgrade opportunities

Requirements of the Field Service Engineer

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualifications
  • Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Electrical fault-finding experience
  • Experience with airflow testing, filter integrity testing, or calibration
  • Comfortable with travel and staying away when required
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication and customer facing skills
