The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for a workshop-based Production Manager / Supervisor to take ownership of day-to-day operations, drive workflow and performance, and lead a busy manufacturing team. This role suits someone who has worked up from the shop floor and enjoys hands-on leadership, planning jobs, and keeping production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager

• Manage day-to-day workshop operations to ensure output, quality and deadlines are met
• Allocate workloads and organise workshop jobs effectively
• Coordinate labour, materials and priorities across multiple builds
• Lead, support and develop the workshop team with a hands-on management style
• Maintain high standards of H&S, housekeeping and quality
• Work closely with engineering and management to improve efficiency and processes

Key Requirements of the Production Manager

• Proven experience as a Production Manager, Production Supervisor or Workshop Manager
• Strong background in mechanical manufacturing, ideally within a machinery manufacturing environment
• Experience allocating workloads and implementing effective workshop job plans
• Confident managing people day-to-day with a practical, visible leadership style
• Hands on shopfloor background
