Our client, an extremely well-established steel stockholder and processor based in Staffordshire, is seeking an experienced External Sales Executive to join their growing commercial team. This is a field-based role, spending approximately 4 days per week on the road, managing and developing an existing portfolio of customers while also generating new business opportunities within the region.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an established customer portfolio across the assigned territory.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the metals sector.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular site visits.
- Promote the full range of steel products and processing capabilities.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximise profitability.
- Provide market feedback and identify opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the metals industry.
- Previous experience within steel stockholding, metal fabrication, laser profiling, or related processing environments.
- Proven external sales experience with a strong track record of generating new business.
- Confident relationship builder with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently on the road.
Uncapped commission structure with OTE of Β£60,000+.
Plug-in hybrid company car.
