An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join a long-established and highly respected industrial refrigeration business supporting customers across the UK food and manufacturing sectors. This role offers long-term stability, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to work on large-scale industrial ammonia refrigeration systems within a supportive, engineer-led environment.
The Industrial Refrigeration Engineer will be joining a well-established industrial refrigeration specialist with decades of experience in the market. The business is known for its technical depth, long-serving engineering team, and a culture where engineers are properly supported on site.
As an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer, you will be working on heavy industrial ammonia-based refrigeration systems, primarily within food and FMCG production environments. The role covers service, maintenance, breakdowns and installation work, supported by in-house fabrication and coded welding teams. Engineers are paid door to door, operate within a structured standby rota, and benefit from consistent overtime availability. Travel to customer sites across the UK is required.
Requirements:
- Strong background in industrial / heavy commercial refrigeration
- Confident working with ammonia-based refrigeration systems
- Ammonia training and certification
- Experience within food production or FMCG environments
- Strong service, maintenance and fault-finding capability
- Full UK driving licence
- Proactive, reliable engineer with a strong technical mindset

Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: £40,000 – £52,000 (dependent on experience)
- 40-hour week, paid door to door
- Overtime: Time & a half and double time
- Plenty of overtime available
- 25 days holiday
- Sick pay: 6 weeks full pay + 6 weeks half pay
- Company pension: After 3 months (4% employer contribution)

- Death in service: 2 x salary
