We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established engineering and fabrication company based in Smethwick, for an experienced Flame Cutter to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with experience working with heavy gauge steel to secure a permanent position with competitive pay, paid lunch breaks, and regular overtime opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating oxy-fuel flame cutting equipment on heavy gauge steel materials.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Measuring, marking, and preparing materials for cutting.
  • Producing accurate cuts to required dimensions and tolerances.
  • Supporting fabrication and welding departments with prepared materials.
  • Conducting routine equipment checks and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures relating to hot work activities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Flame Cutter.
  • Proven experience working with heavy gauge steel.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
