A reliable and detail-focused Quality Control Assistant to support the inspection, testing, and handling of materials across site operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, and supporting the efficient movement and grading of materials. This is a hands-on role involving quality inspections, gravimetric testing, stock rotation, housekeeping duties, and the loading and unloading of containers and curtain-sided vehicles using a forklift truck.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine inspections on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Record inspection findings accurately and maintain organised quality control documentation.
- Assist with gravimetric testing using approved methods, equipment, and procedures.
- Load and unload containers and curtain siders safely using a forklift truck.
- Sort and inspect split loads and complete relevant documentation for the Weighbridge Administrator.
- Support stock rotation and maintain cleanliness and organization across the yard and operational areas.
- Liaise closely with the Weighbridge Administrator regarding daily inbound and outbound materials and stock levels.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by management.
Skills and Experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Practical, hands-on approach to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and awareness of health and safety procedures.
Qualifications and Licences
- NPORS licence or equivalent certification for operating relevant mobile plant equipment preferred.
- FLT Licence.
