We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, hydro, and biomass. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate setting out and execution of engineering designs on-site. You will act as the key link between design teams and construction, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish site control points and reference coordinates using GPS, total stations, and laser levels
- Interpret and transfer engineering drawings into accurate site layouts
- Ensure all construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors on-site
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks
- Maintain accurate records of surveys, measurements, and as-built drawings
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports
- Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues during construction
- Liaise with project managers, design engineers, and clients
- Communicate technical requirements clearly to site teams
- Support client and regulatory inspections
About You
- Degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Energy Engineering
- Proven experience in setting out and surveying on construction projects
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems (solar, wind, hydro, or biomass essential)
- Proficient in CAD software and surveying equipment (e.g., total station, GPS)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Health & Safety certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is desirable
