Aspinal of London are looking for a Wholesale Manager to join the business. This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role that combines wholesale account management, operational execution, administrative oversight, and strategic business development. Reporting directly to the COO, the Wholesale Manager will act as the central point of contact for our wholesale partners across the globe, ensuring smooth operations from order management through to shipment. In addition, the role co-manages marketplace platforms alongside the merchandising team, supporting day-to-day trading and platform growth.
This role requires a high level of independence, initiative, and the ability to wear multiple hats — balancing commercial strategy with operational delivery.
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home but there will be requirement to attend showroom appointments from Regent Street St James when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Wholesale Management
- Manage day-to-day relationships with a small but global network of wholesale customers, providing exceptional service and support.
- Oversee the full wholesale process, from order placement, confirmation, and tracking to final shipment and after-sales care.
- Negotiate terms, resolve issues, and act as the first point of contact for wholesale partners worldwide.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to inform internal stakeholders and support decision-making.
Marketplace Management
- Co-manage marketplace platforms in partnership with the merchandising team (with merchandising covering stock levels and pricing).
- Monitor performance of marketplace channels and suggest improvements to optimise sales.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges with merchandising, customer service, and platform teams.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Liaise daily with the warehouse to ensure accuracy and efficiency in order picking, packing, and global shipments.
- Manage wholesale-related administrative tasks including invoicing, compliance documentation, shipping paperwork, and credit control follow-up.
- Maintain accurate customer records and internal systems for reporting and audit purposes.
- Support senior leadership with ad hoc requests, presentations, and business insights.
Business Development & Strategy
- Identify and research new business opportunities in both wholesale and marketplace channels.
- Support the COO with business planning, account negotiations, and long-term growth strategies.
- Assist with onboarding new partners, contracts, and operational setup.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to recommend opportunities for Aspinal’s wholesale growth.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in wholesale management or account management within fashion, luxury goods, or retail.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day admin.
- Confident working independently, taking initiative, and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
