The Outbound Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day outbound warehouse operations, ensuring all channels are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and within agreed targets. The role focuses on efficiency, consistency, team coordination, and maintaining high standards. This role supports smooth outbound flow, high service levels and strong operational discipline within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Operations
- Oversee daily outbound operations for all B2C and B2B orders, ensuring orders are processed and dispatched in line with SLA requirements, with priority given to oldest orders first.
- Supervise picking, packing and dispatch to ensure accuracy, quality and presentation standards are consistently met.
- Work closely with the Operations team and Customer Services to ensure orders outside of the regular flow are printed, processed and invoiced in line with daily SLA.
- Ensure all shipments are prepared in line with courier requirements.
- Ensure store replenishment orders are prioritised and dispatched on the same day.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Admin to ensure all packing lists and shipping labels are prepared accurately and on time.
- Liaise with relevant teams to resolve operational issues, including IT or scanning system faults.
- Team Management and Standards
- Ensure all team members are trained and consistently follow agreed processes and quality standards.
- Work closely with the warehouse manager to plan and allocate workload in line with daily volumes, priorities and deadlines.
- Work closely with warehouse manager to monitor team performance and drive productivity and efficiency across the operation providing regular feedback to the team.
- Support training and onboarding of team members to maintain high standards.
- Product, Quality and Process
- Act as the main point of contact for Production to ensure all new products are packed in line with packaging specifications.
- Ensure all process documentation are created and maintained regularly and any changes are clearly communicated, including to 3PL partners where required.
- Maintain strong quality control across all outbound orders, including packaging, presentation and personalisation.
- Working alongside the wider operations team support investigation of mispicks, personalisation errors and damages, ensuring findings are clearly reported and actions followed through.
- Performance and Continuous Improvement
- Identify and elevate operational issues impacting performance, including delays, errors or capacity constraints.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to review outbound performance and support continuous improvement.
- Drive reduction in errors, returns and customer complaints linked to fulfilment.
- Others
- Ensure adherence to all warehouse processes, health & safety standards, and company policies.
- Support Warehouse Manager as and when required.
- Provide operational cover to the Warehouse Manager during annual leave.
- Ad-hoc projects and tasks as and when required by the business.
