Skills: Numerate & literate, computer literate (knowledge of Logikal would be useful) with a strong technical ability. Experience in a Technical Estimating role would be advantageous but not critical as training will be given in the specialist areas of product knowledge.
Duties:
- Receive and assess enquiries from the BDMs or direct from customers
- Liaise with BDMs, customers & factory to ascertain best products for the job
- Check system limitations and requirements suitable for the job
- Work out costs through Logikal and other methods
- Work out transport and/or installation costs
- Record costings in internal job-costing software
- Write and send quotation to customer
- Liaise with customer on any queries or issues
- Check orders received for full details and correctness against quote
- Check contract conditions & liaise with BDMs/Managers where required
- Liaise with Accounts Dept & BDMs for credit limits and/or pro forma payments
- Liaise with Production / BDMs / customers re dates, samples, certificates
- Liaise with Warrington Fire / FIRAS
- Attend weekly Handover Meetings (Thursdays)
Office Based at Skelmersdale, working as part of a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable team. Maintaining excellent relationships with clients.
