My client who manufacture bespoke joinery are looking to recruit for a Production Manager with 5+ years of experience in the joinery manufacturing industry.
Job Description:
- To oversee and manage multiple client projects, responsible for managing all aspects of the project from receipt to completion.
- Receiving the design brief, providing quotes and production lead times as appropriate. Involvement in initial project meetings to offer and discuss project direction.
- Communication with the client throughout production is key, providing constant feedback on project progress.
- Work with external suppliers to outsource work, managing quality, budget, and timelines. Visit suppliers to ensure goods produced meet specifications and quality expectations.
- Provide a full briefing to the production team, conducting daily and weekly meetings to set project targets and ensure understanding of expectations.
- Attend site surveys and installations to ensure the final part of the project runs smoothly.
- Staff management and training, keeping morale high and organising training for staff members while maintaining documentation.
- Oversee the Quality Control of products throughout each stage of production, ensuring all work is QC'd and signed off before dispatch.
- Briefing project details to Dispatch and Logistics, ensuring finished goods are sent to packing in good time to meet collection requirements.
- Budget control/management to ensure projects are profitable and within the quoted budget.
- Order materials and manage stock control, ensuring correct materials are ordered to specification and stock levels are maintained.
Skills:
- Manufacture/installations with at least 5 years experience working in a workshop.
- Experience in working/knowledge within each department (technical, CNC, Bench, Sprayshop) is advantageous.
- Experience using Project Management tools/scheduling tools is a must.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software such as Excel or Numbers.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism in client interactions.
