My client are looking to recruit for a Design Manager.
Responsibilites
- Senior manager to manage a team which consists of 5 design managers, 2 document controllers & 1 sustainability manager.
- Auto CAD - Revit knowledge would be an advantage.
- Experienced in Joinery/kitchen/wardrobes
- Attend all new handover meetings prior projects starting.
- Review tender documents - N11 specifications - costing sheets - scope of works- prior to projects starting
- Create design release & production programmes (updated and revise when required)
- Monitor all design works to ensure production deadlines dates are met.
- Ensure all sampling- technical submittal documentation is approved prior to production.
- Chair all internal weekly design meetings
- Attend weekly client meetings on site
- Attend bi-weekly meetings to update directors/CEO on project progress.
- Attend external & internal BIM meetings
- Attend all trade-to-trade coordination meetings
- Chair weekly meetings with external factories
- Liaise with contractors/architects/clients/development managers daily
- Liaise with internal commercial teams on a weekly basis
- Chair internal handover meetings from department to department
- Chair handover meetings from design team to internal fitting teams
- Manage external freelance designers
- Attend site meetings with Project management teams to problem solve site issues
