Support Worker – Falconer’s Court, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 5NW

Hours and Location

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Shift times: 07:30–15:00 and 14:30–22:00 (longer days at weekends, alternating)

Sleep-ins: Sleep-ins are required for full-time roles; the sleep-in rate is paid on top of contracted hours.

Salary

Salary: £13.32 per hour

We provide support and care to children, families and adults across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Surrey and the London Borough of Bexley. Our services include registered care homes; supported living; community outreach; day services, including pathways to employment; children and young people’s groups and support; specialist support; and free online support for families and carers across the South-East.

About the Role

Aspens works across Kent and Sussex, supporting individuals with autistic spectrum conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities. Falconer’s Court is a residential service, home to 7 adult females with autism spectrum conditions and other learning and physical disabilities. The home can be energetic; the role is to be friendly, energetic and hard-working with a passion for supporting others. You will help individuals feel empowered to live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities may include supporting daily activities such as baking, arts and crafts, swimming and bowling. You will carry out person-centred support plans (including personal care), follow risk assessments, administer medication and complete daily reports to safeguard those in our care while helping them live their best life.

About You

We are looking for friendly, hard-working people with a fun spirit and a good sense of humour to join our team of support staff. Shift times are as noted above. Sleep-ins are required for full-time roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support and assist with daily activities
  • Follow risk assessments and support plans; administer medication as required
  • Record daily notes and reports; ensure safeguarding and quality of care
  • Support residents to develop independence and life skills
