About The Role
This is a unique opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker who would relish the opportunity for career development. The role includes both lone working and teamwork. You will support with medication, personal care, nutrition, and maintain a clean environment through laundry and housekeeping duties. Tasks include monitoring service users during the night, completing required documentation such as night checks, incident forms, and observation records, and providing support according to individualised care plans. You will also liaise with families and professionals, participate in training and supervisions, and ensure policies and procedures are followed. Aspens offers flexible shifts and support for professional development in a rewarding environment. You will be provided with full training and support to succeed in the role. We are looking for someone who is energetic, hard‑working and passionate about supporting others to lead our fantastic team of staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supporting service users with administration of medication (and keeping a record of medication administered)
- Supporting with personal care needs and nutritional needs
- Lone working with confidence and ability
- Keeping the environment clean with laundry duties and ironing during the night
- Delivering agreed support to individuals at night based on personalised care plans
- Completing night checks on individuals and recording as required
- Completing night reports and other relevant forms such as seizure forms, accident/incident forms, fridge/freezer temperature
- Supporting with moving and handling requirements during the night
- Completing daily observation sheets, ensuring a smooth flow of information to facilitate good communication within the staffing team, as well as professionals who require viewing of these
- Working with families and relevant professionals to keep all parties updated on relevant and necessary information
- Keeping service users safe and reporting any changes or health concerns
- Attending training, participating in supervision sessions with nominated manager and attending staff meetings as required by your line manager
- Fully implementing policies and procedures of the organisation and ensuring all recording systems are completed accurately on a regular basis

- Monitor and maintain a safe working environment and working practices at all times, reporting any health and safety issues or risks to the Charity’s health & safety point of contact
- Work as a positive team member, devoting full time and attention at work to the duties of your role and adhering to the Charity’s policies and procedures at all times
