Location: Kent (including Pembury, Tunbridge Wells, Paddock Wood, Sevenoaks & Maidstone)

Hours of Work: Full-Time, 37 Hours per week

Salary: £12.21 per hour (+ £62 per night sleep-in rate)

About the Role: Our Supported Living Services support adults of all ages with autism spectrum conditions and other learning disabilities or related complex support needs. We provide support and care to children, families and adults across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Surrey and the London Borough of Bexley. Our services include registered care homes; supported living; community outreach; day services, including pathways to employment; children and young people’s groups and support; specialist support; and free online support for families and carers across the South‑East.

As a Support Worker in our Supported Living Homes, you will work as part of a strong and dedicated team, playing a big role in the support we give those that live there throughout their day to day lives.

We are currently recruiting for our Supported Living and Outreach services (SLOR). This includes Wings Court (Paddock Wood), The Paddocks (Pembury) and other community services locally. We are looking for full‑time flexible Support Workers to assist with covering days/evenings as well as occasional sleep‑in shifts (paid at £62 per night) – can be discussed at interview. Flexibility to work every other weekend will also be required for this role.

Day‑to‑day tasks include:

  • Supporting service users with administration of medication
  • Supporting with personal care needs and nutritional needs
  • To support with making and attending medical appointments, ensuring accurate comprehensive records are kept.
  • Supporting food shopping and individual’s personal shopping needs
  • Supporting with laundry duties and cooking and cleaning
  • Supporting with finances and other administrative tasks
  • Supporting with moving and handling requirements and using hoists
  • Supporting with social activities and accessing community‑based services including those required to promote health and wellbeing.
  • Offering emotional support to service users and acting as a positive role model enabling the service user to lead a fulfilling positive lifestyle.
  • Writing daily notes and completing relevant forms such as accident/incident forms
  • Completing daily observation sheets, ensuring a smooth flow of information to facilitate good communication within the staffing team, as well as professionals who require viewing of these.
  • Working under the supervision of the line manager to enable the implementation of individual service user’s care plans.
  • Keeping service users safe and reporting any changes or health concerns
  • Attending training, participating in supervision sessions with nominated manager and attending staff meetings as required by your line manager.

About You: Whether you have years of care experience or no experience at all, if you are a caring person, passionate about empowering others and ready to learn new skills we want to speak to you! Full training and support is available and will be provided.
