Our client within the South Tyneside are looking for a long term Administrator to join their team.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support across the organisation, with a particular focus on data entry, record management, and minute taking during meetings.

Key Responsibilities
May include but not limited to being able to:
  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain data within company systems and databases.
  • Prepare, organise, and maintain electronic and paper records.
  • Attend meetings, take clear and concise minutes, and distribute meeting notes promptly.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence from the general public and within the business.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and diary arrangements.
  • Prepare reports, documents, and presentations as required.
  • Support team members with general administrative tasks.
  • Ensure all records are maintained in accordance with company policies and data protection requirements.
  • Monitor and order office supplies when needed.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and document management.
  • Manage holiday entitlement, booking colleagues' holidays.
Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role.
  • Previous experience of dealing with incoming queries from the public
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience taking and producing professional meeting minutes.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Experience using database management systems.
  • Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality requirements.
  • Relevant administration qualification.
