Our client is looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative / Driver in the DH9 Region. A Grounds Maintenance Driver/Operative works within Facilities Management and Building Services to maintain outdoor spaces to a high standard. The role involves operating vehicles and equipment, carrying out landscaping and maintenance tasks, and ensuring grounds are safe, clean, and visually well-kept across sites.
Main Duties:
- Carry out routine grounds maintenance such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, and litter clearance.
- Operate and maintain vehicles, machinery, and tools safely and effectively.
- Transport staff, equipment, and materials between sites as required.
- Undertake seasonal tasks such as gritting, leaf clearance, and planting.
- Report faults, hazards, or maintenance issues to supervisors promptly.
Responsibilities / Requirements:
- Hold a valid driving licence appropriate for work vehicles - (Role includes Torro Tractor Driving).
- Follow health and safety regulations, including safe use of equipment and PPE.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet service standards.
- Maintain reliability, good timekeeping, and a strong work ethic.
Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday (7.30am - 3.30pm)
