The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
In this role you will be responsible for the general maintenance of the Port estate and also responsible for maintaining up to date records of associated risks and all checks undertaken. The main role is to plan and manage Port premises and traffic management activity. You will report to the Port operations manager and you will be responsible for port electrician(s).
Key Tasks include:
- Undertake and record accurately weekly and monthly checks on fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire exits, office torches and also the testing of fire extinguishers.
- Organisation and co-ordination of emergency planning activity (such as fire drills) and liaising with Council colleagues in relation to business continuity where appropriate.
- Liaise with Council colleagues in relation to the management of asbestos and legionella in Port premises and the maintenance of associated logbooks and registers, also ensure compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday (9am until 5pm)
