Our client is looking for a Building Surveyor (Band 9) in the NE34 Region.
The Job Role: The Building Surveyor Band 9 works as part of the STC Responsive Repairs Team, providing professional leadership while personally delivering all aspects of building surveying associated with responsive repair works.
Main Duties:
- Carry out comprehensive building surveys as part of the responsive repairs function, including routine, urgent, and complex cases.
- Identify, diagnose, and assess building defects, failures, and deterioration across a diverse property portfolio.
- Arrange and coordinate repair works with in-house teams and external contractors.
- Work closely with customers, service managers, contractors, and estates colleagues to prioritise repairs effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process, managing expectations and resolving issues or complaints where required.
- Ensure all repair and surveying activities comply with statutory requirements, health and safety legislation, and organisational standards.
- Monitor quality of works, carry out post-inspections, and ensure defects are rectified to the required standard.
Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday (8am - 4pm)
