Do you want a hands-on role that makes a real difference to local communities? Our client is looking for a Warden Default Operative to help keep County Durham clean, safe and environmentally responsible. This is an active, outdoor role working across the county, tackling fly tipping, waste clearance, property clearances and environmental issues.

What You’ll Do

  • Remove fly tipping, litter, green waste, white goods and household waste
  • Clear yards, gardens, sheds and private land under default procedures
  • Safely dispose of hazardous and clinical waste (including sharps)
  • Board up and secure properties when required
  • Work closely with Neighbourhood Wardens and partner services
  • Provide advice and support to residents

What We’re Looking For

  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Team player with strong customer focus
  • Able to work independently across multiple locations
  • Experience in refuse collection, street cleansing or grounds maintenance is desirable.
