Our client is looking for a Neighbourhood Housing Officer in the NE8 Region. As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing a designated patch of social housing properties and ensuring tenants are supported, properties are well-managed, and communities are safe and sustainable.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To work with vulnerable tenants, making appropriate referrals and liaising with partners and services to develop and monitor support plans.
- To undertake reviews of fixed term and introductory tenancies.
- To demonstrate a positive, diverse and inclusive attitude in all aspects of day to day work and interactions both internal and external.
- To carry out scheduled inspections to support and complement the daily identification of issues on estates and communal areas.
- To work as part of a team collaborating and sharing knowledge openly to enhance service delivery, ensuring both individual and team objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Experience in dealing with difficult situations / people.
- Experience in dealing with vulnerable customers / clients.
- Experience of effective negotiation and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Good organisational & time management skills.
- Experience with ICT & Microsoft Office systems.
- Able to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm)
