The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The main job role is to give housing advice about all available housing options and manage a caseload of homeless applications. To investigate claims of homelessness, potential homelessness and housing need. Arrange temporary housing when required and assist people to secure suitable accommodation.

You will require 2 years of relevant experience working in housing, social care and/or with people with disabilities in a relevant setting. You will also be expected to work 3-4 days in the office weekly. DBS REQUIRED (MUST ALREADY HAVE) INDEPENDENT TRANSPORT REQUIRED (FULL UK DRIVERS LICENCE).

Key Skills required:

  • IT literate, capable of using MS Word/Excel and Office packages.
  • Knowledge of housing issues and homelessness legislation.
  • Understanding of basic health and disability issues affecting suitability of housing.
  • Experience of liaising with a wide range of agencies.
  • The ability to carry out after hours on-call duty to deal with homeless emergencies.
  • Conduct casework and negotiations with applicants, landlords and others to prevent the loss of accommodation and/or to arrange planned moves where required.
  • Carry out home visits and basic inspections of property.

Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday (9am until 5pm). Dress Code: Smart Casual.
