The Role We are seeking individuals with experience in SCADA project engineering. The Project Engineer role has regional scope and is responsible for the engineering delivery of solutions using AspenTech’s Digital Grid Management (DGM) products for leading utilities worldwide. Our DGM solutions are integral to decision-making and real-time operations for major utilities across the USA, Europe, India, Australia, and beyond. You will oversee end-to-end delivery of SCADA/EMS/GMS/ADMS projects using the Monarch platform, including planning, design, integration, testing, training, and on-site commissioning. A good understanding of utility use cases (Electricity, Gas, Water, Renewables) is preferred. Your Impact Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software components on customer systems. Perform installation, integration, and testing of hardware, software, and systems (such as FAT/SAT). Own troubleshooting efforts for variances and deploy resolutions promptly. Define project requirements through customer communication and coordinate with other departments as necessary. Serve as the primary systems engineer for deploying complex control systems. Design networking and system/application architecture. Customize system, hardware, and network configurations based on customer needs. Provide customer support and assistance under maintenance and warranty agreements. Assist in creating training materials and project documentation. Support technical sales activities, including presentations and product demonstrations. What You\’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience. Ability to travel up to 20%. Experience with power systems, electric utility operations, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX/Linux/Windows OS, programming (Python, C/C++), and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra). Familiarity with JSON, XML, and utility protocols (ICCP, DNP, IEC, MultiSpeak). Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Commitment to delivering superior customer service.
