Aspen People is seeking a people-focused and commercially minded Senior Consultant to join our executive search team in Glasgow. We are a specialist search business built on insight, relationships, and execution.

The Role

In this role, you will manage the full executive search lifecycle, working on senior leadership appointments across a range of sectors. This includes business development and client engagement through to senior candidate identification, headhunting, assessment, and successful placement, delivering high-quality outcomes for executive-level roles.

You will build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior clients and candidates, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the search process and managing live leadership vacancies from inception through to completion. This is a role for someone who is confident operating at senior level, commercially minded, and motivated by delivering results in a professional executive search environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end senior level executive search assignments
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Headhunt and engage senior-level candidates across target markets
  • Advertise roles and manage candidate attraction strategies
  • Screen, assess, and interview candidates
  • Present shortlists and manage selection processes with clients
  • Negotiate terms of engagement and manage live assignments
  • Provide advice on market conditions, salaries, and career opportunities
  • Ensure high-quality delivery, administration, and aftercare
  • Contribute to proposals, tenders, and wider business development activity
  • Build and maintain a strong professional network within your sector

About You

You are a self-motivated and commercially driven experienced Recruiter who enjoys identifying opportunities and building relationships. You are confident engaging with senior level professionals, with strong influencing and communication skills. Executive search experience would be advantageous but not essential. You are resilient and tenacious, with the ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining high attention to detail. You combine strong organisational skills with a customer-focused approach and take pride in delivering a high-quality service.

You are comfortable working on senior level appointments, with a proactive mindset and the ability to problem-solve, prioritise, and deliver results.
