Easthall Park Housing Association is looking for an experienced finance professional to join the organisation on an interim basis and provide continuity while recruitment for the permanent Head of Finance & Corporate Services progresses. Established in 1992, Easthall Park is a community-based housing association managing almost 700 homes across Easthall and Kildermorie in Easterhouse. The Association is in a good financial position and has an ambitious programme ahead, including significant investment in its homes and the continued development of its in-house services.

This is a hands-on interim opportunity for someone who can quickly understand the organisation, provide experienced financial leadership and ensure the finance function continues to operate effectively during a period of transition.

The role

  • Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and working as part of the Senior Management Team, you will take responsibility for the effective management and oversight of the Association's finances.
  • Key priorities will include:
    • Maintaining effective financial management, reporting and controls.
    • Supporting annual budgeting and longer-term financial planning.
    • Monitoring cash flow, treasury arrangements and loan covenant compliance.
    • Providing clear and timely financial information to the Chief Executive and Management Committee.
    • Supporting audit, regulatory and statutory requirements.
    • Providing leadership and support to the existing Finance & Corporate Services team.
    • Working collaboratively with the wider Senior Management Team during an important period of organisational development.

You will inherit the function from an experienced outgoing Head of Finance & Corporate Services, with the intention of providing an appropriate handover period.

About you

We're looking for an experienced finance professional who can get up to speed quickly and provide a safe and confident pair of hands. You’ll ideally be a qualified accountant with significant financial and management accounting experience and the ability to operate comfortably at senior management level. Previous housing association experience would be particularly useful, although we’re open to experienced finance professionals from other relevant regulated, public or third-sector environments. Experience of working with a Board or voluntary Management Committee, alongside exposure to financial planning, treasury management, audit and governance, would be advantageous. Above all, you’ll need to be pragmatic, approachable and comfortable working within a small organisation where senior leaders are visible, hands-on and closely involved in the delivery of services.

The opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a welcoming, ambitious and community-focused organisation at an interesting point in its development. Easthall Park has a strong financial foundation but also significant ambitions around investment, best value and improving how services are delivered. The interim Head of Finance & Corporate Services will therefore play an important role in maintaining financial stability and momentum while the permanent appointment is made.

Location: Easterhouse, Glasgow

Day rate: Expected to be around £450 per day, dependent upon experience and engagement arrangements

Duration: Short-term interim assignment, anticipated to cover the permanent recruitment and transition period

Preferred start: late August 2026
