Easthall Park Housing Association is looking for an ambitious and accomplished finance professional to join its Senior Management Team as Head of Finance & Corporate Services. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a broad and influential leadership role within a financially strong, community-based housing association with clear ambitions for its future.
Established in 1992, Easthall Park owns almost 700 homes across the Easthall and Kildermorie communities of Easterhouse. The Association has a proud history of regeneration and remains firmly rooted in the communities it serves, with its vision to make "Easthall Park - A Great Place to Live." Today, the organisation is entering another important phase of its development.
With a refreshed strategic direction, an ambitious programme of investment in its homes and plans to further develop its in-house services, there is a genuine opportunity for the new Head of Finance & Corporate Services to help shape what comes next.
The opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and working alongside the Head of Housing and Head of Maintenance, you will be a key member of Easthall Park's Senior Management Team. You will lead the organisation's finance function, providing the financial insight, planning and assurance required to support good decision-making and long-term sustainability. This will include responsibility for financial and business planning, budgeting, treasury management, audit, regulatory compliance and ensuring the Association continues to achieve strong financial management and best value.
But this is not simply a technical finance position. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation as Easthall Park delivers a significant investment programme across its homes and continues to explore new and innovative ways of delivering services. The organisation is financially well positioned, but equally clear that its resources should be used effectively to invest in its homes, communities and services. That creates an interesting challenge for an incoming finance leader: providing robust financial stewardship while helping the organisation turn its ambitions into deliverable plans.
You will also oversee a small Finance & Corporate Services team and have responsibility for a range of corporate areas including governance support, ICT, insurance and associated organisational services. You do not necessarily need to have led every aspect of corporate services before. For the right finance professional, there is an opportunity to broaden your experience, supported by an experienced Chief Executive and colleagues across the organisation.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with strong financial and management accounting experience who can combine technical credibility with the ability to contribute at a strategic level. You may already be operating as a Head of Finance or in a similar senior position. Equally, you could be an ambitious Finance Manager, Deputy Head of Finance or experienced number two who is ready to take the next step into a broader leadership role.
What matters is your ability to demonstrate sound financial judgement, strategic thinking and the confidence to provide constructive advice and challenge. You will bring experience of financial planning and budgeting, alongside a track record of delivering successful outcomes within a finance environment. Experience of working with a Board or voluntary Management Committee would be particularly valuable, as would exposure to housing or another regulated environment.
You'll also need to be a strong communicator: someone who can engage effectively with colleagues, Committee members, auditors, lenders and regulators and translate financial information into clear, practical advice. Easthall Park is looking for someone who can lead, motivate and develop others, but who is equally comfortable being part of a small, collaborative senior team.
Why Easthall Park?
There is a lot happening at Easthall Park. The Association has a substantial investment programme planned for its homes, is developing its in-house trade services and continues to look for new ways to improve quality and achieve better value for money. Customer satisfaction is strong, with 92% overall satisfaction and 93% satisfaction with both the repairs service and quality of tenants' homes.
Just as importantly, this is an organisation that wants its people to develop. Easthall Park actively invests in learning and professional development and has seen colleagues progress successfully into more senior roles. For someone looking to build their career towards a future Finance Director or wider executive position, this role offers meaningful exposure to strategic leadership, governance and corporate services alongside responsibility for the finance function.
If you are looking for an opportunity where you can make a visible contribution, broaden your leadership experience and help shape the next chapter of an ambitious community organisation, we would be delighted to hear from you.
