Moray College UHI is the community college for Moray and the academic partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) in Moray. We are an assigned college of the Highlands & Islands FE Region and an integral part of the UHI academic partnership that directly provides education, training and research needs across over half of Scotland. UHI Moray aims to provide learning opportunities of the highest quality which make a significant contribution to the economic, social and cultural vitality of the Moray community.
We are now seeking a new Director of Finance who will provide strategic and high-quality management to enable effective financial planning and control by the Principal and Board of Management, ensuring financial sustainability. Having recently completed a successful Financial Recovery Plan, we need you to lead our drive to increase commercialisation and non-funded income generation of College services, as well as playing a key role in major capital investment projects and proposals.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated leader and successful negotiator and will hold a professional accountancy qualification, have experience of strategic financial planning, developing financial policy frameworks, and of providing management accounting services over a number of financial cycles. It is desirable that the new Director has an understanding of the Scottish Education Funding Methodologies, but of utmost importance is that you share the College’s commitment to our strategic values and our vision and mission for the students, staff, and employers in the communities that we serve.
